[Engelsk eksamen] |
Er det noen her som har noen tips (skrivetips, tips til å sprite opp teksten etc.) til meg til eksamen i engelsk (10kl)? temaet er "money". Takk Reply #1 From: Lee (huxley75@hotmail.com) Date: 17/06/2007-15:28 Hi, It would be much easier if I knew what question(s) you were about to answer but here are some verb phrases you might want to use: To spend money "on" something. E.g. I spend my disposable income on CDs, clothes and travelling. To use money "on" something. E.g. I use about 50% of my income on utility bills and rent. Or, rent and bills use up about 50% of my income. To use "up" money. E.g. I used up all my spare cash renovating the house. To earn money "for" something. E.g. I earn fifty thousand a year. I earned a lot of money for doing nothing. To lose money "on" something. E.g. I lost twenty quid* on the horses yesterday. * quid is slang for pound(s) so don't use it in formal speech. To waste money. E.g. I wasted a thousand pounds repairing that car and it still doesn't work. To throw money "away" or "at" something. E.g. I may as well have thrown the money away. Throwing money at the problem will not solve it. To give money "away". E.g. I gave a hundred pounds to charity. To hand "out" money. E.g. The government handed out over ten million pounds worth of lottery grants last year. Money can "change hands" i.e. one person gives money to another person. A popular saying: Everyone knows the cost of everything and value of nothing. There's a lot more but maybe it's better to email me. If you do please put "tri-trans" in the subject header so I know it's not junk mail. Cheers. Lee :-) |
