What does this word means: ajour 
Dont know if its norwegian or english

Ajour is a french word. This word is used in sculpture or architecture, it means
litle holles in a wall for illuminate a room. Maybe in english is openwork and
in norwegian gjennombrudd.

Hi,

Ajour is indeed a French word with the meaning Vicente describes.

Another possibility is that what you read was really "à jour" which is still
French and means "up to date".
