[Mistake in dictionary?] |
The dictionary claims: English: dry-cleaner Spanish: tinte Norwegian: anstrøk, farge, fargeskjær, fargestoff, snev Farge = color, tint etc. Isn't "dry-cleaner" a shop/method for cleaning clothes? (renseri, tørr-rens) Reply #1 From: Arne Bjermeland (arnenews@yahoo.ca) (www.xanga.com/arnejan) Date: 08/05/2005-09:57 The word used for drycleaner is tintorero. Reply #2 From: Webmaster Date: 08/05/2005-18:30 Hi. Yes, you are right. dry-cleaner (English) = renseri (Norwegian) = tinte, tintorería (Spanish) This is now corrected in the dictionary. Thank you Webmaster Reply #3 From: Webmaster Date: 09/05/2005-12:04 Hi again. Thank you Arne, you are also right: tintorero - dry-cleaner - tekstilrenholder dry-cleaner is used both for the place (also dry-cleaner's) and for the persons working there. Webmaster |
