Hva betyr "sold on"?! (I forbindelse med kjøp og salg av produkter). Kan det bety videresalg?? Reply #1 From: George Date: 06/07/2006-13:07 I would need to see "sold on" used in context, but to me it is not a business term. It simply means "convinced", "pleased with", "impressed with". For example, "I'm really sold on that product" = "I think that product is really good". On the other hand, "on sell" means to resell (videreselge på norsk). Reply #2 From: Kjell Date: 06/07/2006-22:45 Thank you very much! In context resell makes sense. To be "Sold on" = resale? Reply #3 From: George Date: 07/07/2006-06:43 Not really. Can you show me the whole sentence in which "sold on" is used? Of course, "sold on" can also mean "solgte på" as in "jeg solgte bilen min på ebay" (I sold my car on ebay). Reply #4 From: Kevin Whitefoot (kwhitefoot@hotmail.com) Date: 19/09/2006-10:48 'Sold on' means that one person bought something and then sold it on to another person. The implication is that the first buyer was acting as a middleman and bought the item solely to make money by selling it on to another. The word 'on' here means 'further'. A related phrase is 'to pass on' which means to convey something (usually a message) to another. Kortsagt: 'sold on' = 'videresolgt', 'to sell on'='å videreselge'. 'Sold on' = 'convinced' is usually American English not British English although it is becoming more common. |
