Hello, could anyone help me with translating this text to Norwegian? I would even appreciate if someone could translate a part of the text (I need a word-by-word translation rather than explanation of the contents). Thank you in advance! Anna ----- North disordered by snow. LEEUWARDEN – Wednesday, the heavy snowfall has particularly disordered the northern provinces. In Friesland, Groningen and a part of Drenthe there drove no buses. Roads were impassable and many schools and other institutions remained closed. According to the KNMI (= weather service, Royal Dutch Meteorological Institute) this was the first time in 20 to 25 years time there fell so much snow. In parts of Friesland there fell 20 to 30 centimetres of snow over the past 24 hours. In Heeg in the south-west of Friesland there even fell 50 centimetres of snow, according to the met office. In Gorredijk there lies 35 centimetres of snow, in Sneek 34. In Eastern-Brabant and Limburg there is still hardly any snow. The KNMI foresees that snowfall will continue for the next days. On average there are about 30 days with snowfall a year, but many years pass without any snow, according to the KNMI. A spokeswoman stated that 'an average of 20 centimetres of snow occurs once every ten years, 35 centimetres can be expected once every fifty years. According to the police there were reports of complete chaos on the roads in. On the motorways only one lane was available and drivers were blocked in the snow at exits. The police in the north advises people to stay home. The province of Friesland has hired 65 contractors to clear the roads of snow. An employee of Rijkswaterstaat (= Department of Public Works) stated earlier on Wednesday that his service could not cope with the snowfall, despite the deployment of all sixty gritting vehicles and snowploughs. Ambulances were escorted by fire engines. Remarkably, the number of car accidents on the Friesian roads was lower than on a 'normal' working day. The police in Friesland registered forty accidents. One driver got hurt in a car crash near Leeuwarden, on the N32 to Heerenveen, which was blocked for 1,5 hours due to this accident. The national roads in Groningen were reasonably passable. Only few car crashes or accidents took place. Yet the emergency number of the Assurers Help Service (VHD) already received 270 reports of accidents before 10 o'clock. On a quiet day the VHD registers 250 reports during the whole day. Repuesta #1 De: thomas fure (thomas@fure.nu) (thomas.fure.nu) Fecha: 09/05/2005-10:40 Hi, i can do it..
