Hei,

I'm having trouble translating the text below into English. So far I have: 

ST: Om lag 60 nautiske mil utenfor Nordkapp traff H.Nor. MS «Stord» slagskipet
med to av åtte torpedoer, og unngikk så vidt å bli truffet av slagkrysseren sine
kanonskudd.

TT: About 60 nautical miles off the North Cape, HNoMS Stord struck the
battleship with two out of eight torpedoes, and then barely avoided to be hit by
the battleship’s cannon fire.

I am unsure about the final sub-clause of the sentence.

Any help would be gratefully apreciated.

It would be more accurate to use 'the battlecruiser' for the word
'slagkrysseren'.
